It's a pity Yousef 'Yoyo' Mahdy's goal will be erased... just the UCD Fans memory will remain. But that the reasons for the change are 'Premier Division Privilege'#PremDivPriv. Bohs are just another club that believes it's own blurb about progress, youd, development and allowing 'League of Ireland [sic] to be representative of Irish Football. In February 2019 Bohemian FC celebrated that one of their football games didn't take place (Irn Bru Cup), well another of their games in July 2019 is erased and the efforts of athletes, coaches and fans are reduced. The matchday programme at #BOHUCD league game at Dalymount included a Neil O'Riordan article lamenting the usage of the term "grassroots". Grassroots football punches a large hole in the "Football is nothing without Fans" political slogan. Grassroots empowers football developers and those with modest football resources. It disempowers exclusionists and those who wish to misrepresent football, like O'Riordan. The LoI Premier Division is a pretty disgusting place atm. UCD are part of it because we want to provide alternatives to the exclusionists, as a club and University we are also part of a bunch of other inclusion leagues.

Football people challenging No Football and challenging the defence of No Football of course some League of Ireland fans are going to hate that. So Cabra Hoop if you could begin, why No Football should be defended.

It's mens football, of course it's outcome-oriented You'd have a valid point if you were talking about underage football, but we're not so you don't. Spending too much time enjoying 90 minutes rather than picking up points isn't much use if you get relegated. UCD do a great job at bringing young players through, but don't kid yourself in to thinking you're the only club doing so.

Thanks for the .reply, you move from supporting absolutists outcomes to using diversity against me ("...but don't kid yourself in to thinking you're the only club doing so.). I don't think UCD are the only club with youds. @OnTheOneRoad youd: common pronunciation of "youth" until it's frequent verbal caused it to be spelt like that.

Dodder Derby Premier Division, Today sun 21st July Shamrock Rovers : UCD AFC, Tallaght Stadium, ko 16:00Another edition of the Dodder Derby with The Students in great spirits on this Sunday afternoon. They should stock up on imodium to counteract the effects of the Hoops stuffing themselves with Brann. Shamrock Rovers may take the playing resources of UCD but as a club we will preserve. After edit: Right venue but had the teams the wrong way wround.

The 7-0 nil defeat was our worstest defeat in the league ever (but not our worstest of the month). Some transfer news Liam Kerrigan (midfield/forward) from Sligo Rovers, has taken up the schorlarship offered to him which he deferred until now. Our proud connections between UCD and Bohemians continues as Sam Byrne (striker) joins the Students. Sam's H&A shirt was sponsored by Bohs Communications Officer Luke O'Riordan. UCD AFC Media Officer Conor McCarthy with a presser SSE Airtricity League, Premier Division, Fri 26th July, UCD AFC : Waterford FC, The UCD Bowl ko 19:45 With two home wins in-a-row (one of them ending in a row) The Students want to continue their terrific home form. Waterford are seven points ahead of UCD and Finn Harps, they'll look to continue the gap until the they are safe from relegation. SSE Airtricity League, Premier Division, Fri 02nd Aug UCD AFC : Derry City, The UCD Bowl, ko 19:45 The Students got the first away points of the season at The Ryan McBride Brandywell Stadium this month and August can begin with a good start. This will be another hugely entertaining game during our Summer of Football at The UCD Bowl. Directions to The UCD Bowl

Warn all the O'Riordans, y'know, grassroots have stinging nettles. (those tiny low-lying ones that give a nasty burn). Premier Division, Fri 16th Aug., Bohemians : UCD AFC, Dalymount Park (HoIF) ko 19:45 UCD Players will want to punch the air in delight in making the trip to the wide open spaces of the Home of Irish Football Another cracking games of football from The Students, Liam Kerrigan Player of the Match. The best of young Irish Football talent on show. A very enjoyable game.

Paul Doyle going off injured in the first half is a concern. Jay McClelland was class. Not a good night at the office which is the same reason UCD got awarded a 3-0 win after beating Bohs 1-0 in July.

Looking at it UCD fan your lads missed at least 2 one on one chances and hit the post so it was just one of those freak nights really. For twenty minutes it was a tidy game with decent play from both sides but it turned on Doyle for some reason staying on rather than getting subbed when clearly injured, just before the second went in. Anyway hard luck and I hope you keep playing to the end, you never know if you go on a run till seasons end
