Clarkey is too old @25

Duggan is not a great keeper

Quigley may just make it as he's not 24 until June

I know that Ireland's U23s are all LOI players, but what sort of squad do England put out for this?

On a serious note,  does this count as an international (ie with international eligibility rules) or is it a case of a team representing a league? I only ask because whilst they might not be the Darron Gibsons of this world, if you called up 2 or 3 Derry players for these squads, there's bound to be ones the IFA would object to!

To be honest, I'm not sure. I don't know if these are FIFA sanctioned games as such. Either way, let the IFA object and we'll wait and see the outcome of this CAS case they are supposed to be presenting.

Alot of the Derry lads have already represented Ireland at underage level. Ruairí Harkin is a lad from Derry who played Ireland U19 games when at Charlton. He's only 20 now I believe. He should be in with a shout.

Yeah Duggan wouldn't get in on merit for me either.  Chambers a shoe in, Podge as well I'd have thought, especially if he brings Tully to sing the National Anthem in her nip.

Haven't the two McElhaneys been involved in the Ireland U19 set ups as well? Patrick McElhaney should be in this squad and i'd venture that James McClean is as good as any player in either division at the moment.
