I wonder how many of these lads will jump ship in 2 or 3 years??
I could agree with you but then we'd both be wrong.

Anyone think we'll be more likely to hold on to English born players so long that there is continued success at underage levels?

Personally have a hunch that English born lads who excelled at last years 17s EUROs may be more likely to stick with us if they enjoy similar success with the 19s and 21s.

Azerbaijan leading Russia 1-0.

EDIT: It's still 0-0, for some reason the dodgy Russian stream I am watching has a scoreboard that keeps on changing from Azerbaijan 1-0, to 2-0, to 0-0.

0-0 at half time between Azerbaijan and Russia, from the Uefa commentary it seems to be all Russia though Azerbaijan have more shots on target Russia seem to be very wasteful 7 shots with 5 off target

Azeri's held Russia to a 0-0 draw, Russia had been 1/5 in the bookies pre-match.

Works out well for us!

Finishes 0-0 between Azerbaijan and Russia.

Poor game between two average sides - Azerbaijan's goalkeeper can't even take his own kick-outs.

We should be able to beat Azerbaijan and at least draw with Russia which will be enough for us to qualify.

Judging from the the stats Russia had the better of it but couldn't get a shot on target only 3 from 17

Great result no mater what the level of opposition was considering the amount of talent not available to the team.

Will Smallbone is a real talent
You asked if I'd be anyone from history, fact or fiction, dead or alive:
I said "I'd be Tony Cascarino, circa 1995"
