I take all this hype about some good player playing well at underage levels with a pinch of salt. I've seen numerous players who were going to be the next big thing and flopped at senior level. And there's other factors as well which I don't think he will amount to much. How's Connor Clifford doing these days? |

Think Parrott is a level above any uoung lad we have ever had at underage, he scored 4 goals in a Uefa Youth league game when he was 2 years below that age. Different level of talent we have seen at that level in recent year including Jack Byrne who done well at City.

Jack Byrne played 0 games at City. Massive difference between youth and senior level. Loads of players have excelled at youth level and never made the step. |

Look we just have to assume that he wont become a top player, we never produce them. If he surprises us that's great though.

Its there to aid their development. Means nothing. Some kids are bigger than others for their age as well. If it meant anything Conor Clifford would have won the Ballon D'Or.

I’m really looking forward to seeing how he does with Millwall when he’s fit. I’ve watched him in about 15 underage games and he’s a very calm finisher. In his few short senior appearances for Spurs and Ireland he hasn’t looked anything really special “yet”. So hoping really hoping he proves to be really good for us. He could be important over the next 10 days in the u 21s. Good to see Luca Connell getting called up too for that

Definitely hasn't looked like the new messiah, but didn't look out of his depth either. Incidentally.... Luca Connell. Only based on his final season at Bolton, but you'd have to assume he'd be playing regular championship football had he not gone north. Seems like the weirdest move every now.

I read an interview with Connell recently where he said he spoke to Shane Duffy about going to Celtic before he signed and Duffy told him it would be a great move for him. Ironic given how things have gone for Duffy since he went there himself. Parkhead really is a graveyard for Irish footballers.
If we see Parrott signing for Celtic we'll know the game is up for him. Edited by You Tell Me - 08 Nov 2020 at 7:11pm |

ya even if Luca Connell went back to the likes of Bolton in League 2 now it would probably be a lot better than wasting his time at Celtic

There is an abundance of players ahead of Connell at Celtic, not sure how this is related to Parrott though.

Troy on the bench today so hopefully this is the start of his season and he can get a run of games, injury free.
Lord knows we could use some good footballing news!

Made his league debut today in a 1-1 draw.
Made it into the highlights! Cleverly left a through ball when in an offside position to help create a great chance near the death. Hopefully we’ll see more of him in the next couple of month. Word is we need a goalscorer |

You asked if I'd be anyone from history, fact or fiction, dead or alive:
I said "I'd be Tony Cascarino, circa 1995" |
