LMAO so someone saw a spanish website saying "Troy Parrott" in the same sentence as "Real Madrid, Juventus" etc and just made the assumption it meant they were chasing him? Journalism at its finest!

To be fair I'm not sure pundit arena counts as journalism, it only really counts as clickbait sh*te.

It's all over the websites today. If that's the case, rather embarrassing!

He'd want to start getting some regular 1st team football soon though. Why isn't he sent out on loan?

He would want to be treated exactly as he is. Slow progression and his time will come. At 17 he needs good people around him and I get the impression that's what he has at Spurs.

Poch is keeping all his (striking) bases covered. Which is not mere cyncism - at 17, Parrott has still plenty he can learn training at Spurs and playing for the U-21's. But if he's not getting serious game time over the next season or two (i.e. i.e. by 2021/22), when he'll still be a teenager btw, then I imagine both he and Spurs will want to send him out on loan. (That's assuming nothing serious happens to Kane, Son, Moura & Co in the meantime). As it happens, I was at Spurs y'day. Palace were playing a narrow three at the back, so Poch pushed Eriksen forward on the left (to tie down the Palace RCB), alongside Kane and Son in a nominal 4-3-3. Which meant with Palace trying to play 3-4-3, when Rose and Aurier (esp) went bombing forward, they effectively outnumbered Palace 5 to 4 in midfield. By the time Hodgson had a chance to change things at H-T, Spurs could easily have been 7 or 8 goals up. Which puts Troy's place in the attacking order in perspective. Kane and Son are untouchable (obv), with Moura as Poch's go-to back up. Had Dele been fully fit, I dare say he'd have started in the 3rd attacking role y'day, but in his absence, Poch still moved Eriksen from his normal midfield role. TP might get a run out against Colchester etc, but don't be fooled by that, imo he's still a LONG way short of a first team place for the games that count.

The league cup is in a few weeks. I expect him to get in the squad for that game.

excellent article all right, it looks like he has the right manager in pochettino to introduce him gradually into the first team. surely he'll make his first senior appearance in the league cup vs. colchester next week. realistically if they go on a couple of cup runs it's his best chance at first team opportunities.
