Hopefully he can stay fit and firing play every week and if he could register 20-25 goal contributions (has 3 already) it would be magic. Important to temper expectations as plenty can go wrong still injuries, dips in form for a 19 year old all the rest.

He took that goal last night effortlessly made it look simple it wasn’t especially on his weaker foot. His back seems to be up now which bodes well.

As for Scully yes it’s a pity Kenny hasn’t given him a look in so far. As stated if he keeps doing his stuff and backs up what he did last year I think he will get a transfer up to the Championship. Eventually if Scully continues to progress relentlessly he will get those calls ups.

Thats it in a nutshell for me.

Parrott isn't really performing any better than he did last season, if you watched him then he was still making the same runs and movement, anticipating the ball etc.. as he is now, but the big difference is hes in a team that have the ball a lot more and make good use of it. Hes getting chances he didn't have.

Millwall and Ipswich were just bad moves. If I recall they were both near the bottom of the table in terms of goals scored last season which translated from their lack of chances created.

It wasnt because they didnt have anyone to score, Harry Kane would have struggled in Parrotts boots in the same conditions.

Some people questioning if he meant the assist. I think he did. Either way, the touch and speed of thought to put it in the danger zone was something else. Truly great technique.

Forget it, Jake. It's Chinatown.

Why do you say that? Please elaborate. He scored twice last month in the first month of the season. What is your basis for saying he probably won't score until March again, particularly when he must have done something to contribute to this own goal if MK Dons chalked it up as his goal, for what that's worth: https://twitter.com/MKDonsFC/status/1439253418686701569?s=20

Ahh he's saying it tongue in cheek! I watched it he played very well today will be disappointed not to score as he had some looks at goal but important thing is he's playing well in a team that suits him regular gametime. He linked up play beautifully up top on his own. Development is important Parrott is 19 he's not going to save us in the coming months keep expectations low.

5 goal contributions (if it's not his goal then it's his assist) technically in 8 games now. My own thinking was if he could get 15-20 goal contributions that would be a fine return for him. He's well on track for that now fitness aside.

Even if it is a penalty, isn't it still September?

In the posters defence that comment was very much tongue in cheek!

3 goals and 2 assists in 8 for him and that's not including the OG last week which I thought was slightly harsh not to give to him and he won the penalty today too if that's correct? He's now a key man in a team flying high and likely to challenge strongly for promotion in League 1 this season.

At 19 that's decent progress and I just hope he stays fit now and continues to develop away in peace. He won't be our saviour for Ireland anytime soon but that's okay he's a kid.

Great to see Troy doing so well now he is playing under a manager that believes in him and will give him first team action. The mk dons fans are raving about as well which is a good sign. He's well on track to make double figures this season and this should provide a good spring board for next year when he can challenge for the Spurs first team.

I still maintain he is going to get 20+ goals for Ireland. Lad has such a bright future ahead for us.

Really encouraging comments about Parrott on the MK Dons forum over past few weeks:

great link. Always good to see what the fans think of a player like Troy who has gone on loan to them. All very very positive stuff, they are desperate to keep him.

Its a good loan move that is working out for Troy, he's only 19 so it will bring him on superbly.

It suits him to a tee and being a key man in a side that will be in the cut throat midst of a League 1 promotion battle is a huge experience for him.

As for the better then Bamford comment Christ if he ends up better then Bamford I'd take that in a heartbeat. 😂
