That's up there with Julian Faubert getting a move to Real as one of the more bizarre transfers I've heard, if it goes through.

Thomas Gravesen playing for Real was pretty out there.

Always thought Gravesen was a quality player myself. That was a time when Real were signing the likes of Woodgate I think wasn't it?

Mouting was with Tuchel at Mainz afaik. So obviously just knows him and will have a role for him in the squad
"I called him an embarrassment to FIFA and to himself," .... He said 'No-one speaks to me like that'.... and I said, "well I do' and that was that."

Woodgate was probably the most natural defender I have seen from England. He would have been world class if it wasn't for injuries.

Good point.

The both played in the league cup final when Spurs beat Chelsea.
Woodgate scoring the winner.

I think they played with each other for 3 seasons at Spurs but doubt they started many matches together. One of them was always injured.

Thing is, the Real fans actually liked Woodgate. When he was fit, he was an excellent defender. He was probably better than Rio Ferdinand, but for the continued injuries.

The current transfer window shuts for most leagues on Monday.

Can't wait to see good old Jim White spouting the usual crap on sky.

Embarrassed
