Any chance Boro can come back in the summer and buy the rest of the muck at Celtic Park? Loovens, Caddis, Scott Brown, Naylor, Crosas, Mizuno and Samaras would do for starters.

According to Sky Sports, Man City have made a £20 Million pound bid for James Milner. He's not a bad player, but 20million?? Fooking hell!!!

ALEX McLEISH is set to go to war with Spartak Moscow in a bid to sign Aiden McGeady.Birmingham City boss McLeish has stayed on the trail of Celtic ace McGeady after he had a bid for him knocked back in January. Spartak are pushing hard to lure McGeady to Moscow in a £6million deal that would earn the Republic of Ireland international a massive pay rise. McLeish isn't giving up the fight to sign McGeady and has made a series of personal checks on the winger over the last six months and is a huge fan of the 24-year-old. He wants to bring in McGeady and the Wigan winger Charles N'Zogbia, who has already been the target of two unsuccessful bids from Birmingham, to add more attacking threat to his side.

TRANSFER GOSSIP
Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill wants James Milner to commit to one more season at Villa Park, in a repeat of the Gareth Barry saga from two years ago. Manchester City are currently refusing to meet the £30m price tag and O'Neill is adamant that he will not let the midfielder go for any less. Manchester United are considering using their Bulgarian striker Dimitar Berbatov as bait to land Wolfsburg's 24-year-old forward Edin Dzeko. Arsenal have released French defender William Gallas after failing to reach an agreement over a new contract. Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is to splash out £30m this summer, with Everton defender Phil Jagielka among his transfer targets. Full story: Mail on Sunday Former Arsenal defender Martin Keown believes Cesc Fabregas "will certainly leave" the Gunners for Barcelona and that manager Arsene Wenger will be powerless to stop the move happening. New Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho is set to make a £30m bid to sign Manchester United's Serbian international defender Nemanja Vidic. Manchester City are lining up a £15m raid for Roma's 28-year-old French defender Phillipe Mexes. Uruguay striker Luis Suarez says he would only leave Ajax for the Premier League if Manchester United came calling. The 23-year-old scored 49 goals in 48 appearances for the Dutch side last season. CSKA Moscow's in-demand Serbian playmaker Milos Krasic, 25, has said he would prefer a move to Serie A rather than the Premier League. Talks are set to begin between Tottenham and Aston Villa over a swap deal involving Robbie Keane heading to Villa Park, with Gabriel Agbonlahor going to the Spurs. Birmingham hope an improved bid of £5m will be enough to tempt Palermo to part with their 30-year-old striker Fabrizio Miccoli. Sunderland are planning a £7m raid on West Ham for their 31-year-old England centre-back Matthew Upson. Alessandro Diamanti could be on his way back to Italy in a loan move from West Ham to Parma. The 27-year-old scored eight goals in his first season at Upton Park following a £7m move from Livorno but has constantly been linked with a move back to his homeland. Celtic will try to sign Fulham striker Bobby Zamora, if boss Roy Hodgson, who has been linked with the vacant managerial position at Liverpool, leaves Craven Cottage. |

TRANSFER GOSSIP
Barcelona are set to offer Liverpool £70m for star striker Fernando Torres but face competition from Chelsea and Manchester City. Manchester United are set to launch a £25m bid for Juventus and Italy defender Giorgio Chiellini as a potential replacement for centre-back Nemanja Vidic, who has been linked to Manchester City. Chelsea are on the verge of landing Liverpool midfielder Yossi Benayoun in a £6.5m four-year deal. Chelsea and Liverpool have yet to finalise a fee for Benayoun but he has agreed terms with the west Londoners and will undergo a medical at Chelsea's Cobham training ground this week. The Blues will pay the 30-year-old Israeli £60,000 a week, with Manchester United, Tottenham and Juventus leading the chase for the man he will replace at Stamford Bridge, England midfielder Joe Cole. The departure of Yossi Benayoun to Chelsea is expected to be followed by forward Ryan Babel, winger Albert Riera, defender Philipp Degen and keeper Diego Cavalieri leaving Liverpool this summer. Real Madrid are growing increasingly confident that Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard wants to quit Anfield and join ex-Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho's club in Spain. But new Barcelona president Sandro Rosell is also keen on Gerrard and the Catalan club are lining up a £40m offer for the England captain. Liverpool midfielder Javier Mascherano, who is rumoured to want to quit Anfield and join former manager Rafael Benitez at Inter Milan, has admitted he is learning Italian. Mascherano could be joined at Inter Milan by Liverpool team-mate, defender Glen Johnson, with current right-back Maicon set to leave the Italian club for Real Madrid. Manchester City are edging closer to the signing of Valencia's Spain winger Pablo Hernandez. However, a deal to sign Valencia midfielder David Silva is proving more difficult to clinch. City, meanwhile, will return to Aston Villa with an improved offer for England midfielder James Milner, having had an initial bid of £18m turned down. Manchester City are also expected to complete the signing of Barcelona defender Yaya Toure within the next two weeks. Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has set his sights on Manchester City's 21-year-old defender Micah Richards. West Ham are lining up goalkeeper Richard Wright, who was told in April he would not be offered a new deal by Ipswich, to succeed England's Robert Green, who they hope to sell this summer to help alleviate the club's debt. The Hammers also want to acquire Argentine playmaker Juan Roman Riquelme, who is out of contract at Boca Juniors and is considering offers from the east Londoners and a raft of other European and South American sides. Fulham's Nigerian midfielder Dickson Etuhu and St Etienne's Argentine striker Gonzalo Bergessio are two other targets for new West Ham boss Avram Grant. Schalke's German international keeper Manuel Neuer is being lined up as the man to eventually replace Manchester United stopper Edwin Van der Sar. Manchester United's Serbian winger Zoran Tosic is set to join CSKA Moscow in an £8m deal after turning down a move to Cologne. Tottenham are ready to make a new bid for Spartak Moscow keeper Stipe Pletikosa. Deportivo La Coruna have withdrawn their interest in Tottenham winger Giovani dos Santos and Arsenal striker Carlos Vela, who are on World Cup duty for Mexico. Stoke City are still hopeful of sealing the signing of Cardiff City midfielder Joe Ledley, despite facing competition from Italian side Roma for the 23-year-old. Stoke have also set their sights on a double swoop for Aston Villa's England striker Emile Heskey and West Ham forward Carlton Cole. Sunderland are interested in signing Manchester City defender Nedum Onuoha and are close to sealing a £3.5m deal for the 23-year-old. Birmingham boss Alex McLeish is set to improve his offer for Fulham defender Paul Konchesky to £2m, having had an initial offer of £1.5m turned down by the Cottagers. Birmingham are also closing in on the £5m signing of Palermo striker Fabrizio Miccoli, with fellow forward Kevin Phillips set to leave the club as a result. Everton striker James Vaughan is wanted on a season-long loan by new Celtic boss Neil Lennon, with Leicester and Derby interested in signing the 21-year-old for £1m. Wigan are hopeful of signing Real Madrid reserve keeper Antonio Adan on loan as they look for cover for Chris Kirkland. Newcastle United are considering a move for Celtic's Greece striker Georgios Samaras, who is expected to be released by new manager Neil Lennon this summer. (Daily Record) Steven Mouyokolo has been offered a new four-year contract by Hull City to ward off interest in the central defender from Fulham. Inter Milan are reportedly chasing Tottenham defender/winger Gareth Bale and are ready to offer midfielder Sulley Muntari in a part-exchange deal. Full story: IMScouting |
