Well he knows where the door is. Doubt he'll be missed much. |

Barrett was happy to go with the flow, but when he left Hill lost his key ally. Canham has been looking for an escape route since November, who could blame him?

I'm starting to think it is Hill. Joined YBIG the week before Hill was announced FAI CEO, and his username is a play on the phrase over the hill. That or it's the illuminati. Probably the latter.

Hill agreed to relocate to Ireland when he took the role on. If he didn't intend on it, he shouldn't have taken the job. https://www.irishexaminer.com/sport/soccer/arid-41374519.html#:~:text=His%20decision%20to%20remain%20based,broader%20constituents%20of%20the%20game.

Was there a Hill out thread? Maybe there was I don't recall it?
|
|||
It would damage this forums' reputation

"Show trial". Jesus try to hide your lack of objectivity even for a minute. Terrible that they asked Jonathon to do as he had committed to do day one. Very unfair on him. Given he told the "show trial" he worked 4 days a week in Ireland already I'm amazed an extra day was such a problem for him. Unless of course he was lying through his teeth about the 4 days in Ireland..... |

After the Oireachtas Committee show trial, Hill was asked to re-locate to Ireland. They wanted more hands on and visibility. Family didnt want to move to Ireland, so that was that. Has the Coulsen Out thread been started yet? Wont be long.

Winning the Euros bid by default was perhaps Jonathan Hill's, and the FAI's, finest hour.

The man didn't even live in the country. Travelled over a couple of times a week. Canham next out the door

Because he filled the void and then some with a dozen secondary sponsorships and secured the biggest commercial deal in the FAIs history with the Castore deal. Gavin Cooney highlights it in the piece BB linked "The lack of a main sponsor became a stick with which Hill was repeatedly
beaten, and he regularly bridled at the criticism. He did help build up
the value of secondary sponsorships, most notably with new kit
suppliers Castore. (The total value of the Castore and Sky deals is
understood to outstrip what the FAI were getting from Umbro and Three a
few years ago.)" He done a reasonably good job in that regard, especially when you also take into account the womens sponsorships deals with Sky and Cadbury as well as all the LOI sponsorships. Its just all the carry on at personal level hes disgraced himself and made a show of the association in a time where it really didnt need anymore scrutiny over its governance.
