If they qualify, they just compete under a neutral name. Just can't call themselves Russia, fly the flag, play the anthem etc.

What a horrific punishment !!  You’d want to be on drugs to think that’s harsh.

Anti Russian propaganda - for a country with a supposed endemic doping programme, their medal tallies have been pretty poor relative to the squeaky clean US and UK teams...................

Brussels Charleroi is another good option. There was a fairly frequent Flexibus for about a €10 to Luxembourg city in 2018, probably still in operation.

It's not up to the FAI or SK to negotiate fixtures. Fixtures are set by computer these days.
Hopefully the computer is in good form tonight and waits until the autumn before it sends us to Azerbaijan.

Looking at all the groups there is no preferred one for a 3rd seed.
You need to avoid tough 2nd and 4th seeds. They all look difficult

We did okay - could have been better but could have been a lot worse.

I would have preferred one/two teams we could beat easily.

Main problem with flights at the minute is there is only going to likely be what, 20% of the usual flight schedules on sale / available? Not that I will be booking anything straight away with what has gone on this year, but its always nice to get potential routes lined up.

Seconded.

Clap

Would have loved to have flown to Tehran and made my way up to Baku, but logistically probably impossible.

From memory when I last went to Tbilisi and was considering Baku as an alternative option,  Turkish airlines were the main routes via Istanbul

Lufty vie Frankfurt .

I am honest when i say this but this is the first time i have looked at flights in many a month .
Lansdowne Road debut aged 52 and 201 days .

And Lufthansa via Frankfurt it’s about 2hours and then 4.5 that way.
