the level of football now in the aul is shocking....its dog and duck stuff.and all can be contributed to the same old gang of pricks who run/ran the league and thought the good times would never end.

They may as well pack up the AUL now after the latest round of defections. A merger with another association could be an answer as their main facilities are very good but their finances could be a different story altogether.

AUL refusing to pay prize money owed to clubs (about 9k) who are moving to another league, similar to last year. Kilbarrack appealed last year but were unsuccessful, so can't imagine appeals will be successful this time.

Firhouse a totally new team compared to the one who finished runners up last year. They could struggle this year.
I heard the Crumlin game was quote strange and was never a 4-1.
Having said that, Sheriff would absolutely challenge for the league, no question about that

Clondalkin Celtic will push again this year I imagine.

AUL is a northside league basically... People saying Sheriff should be parachuted in to Senior Sunday forget that Killester won all before them in AUL before getting placed in to 1B iirc....

Ah I know that, but you need the best teams playing in the best leagues. Clondalkin promoted before a ball is kicked is madness

Another AUL side gone to the wall. Sandyhill Shangan won't field a team this season. The league is a running joke. They should make special dispensation for Sheriff and get them straight into the LSL Senior Sunday because it bloody makes sense.

Also, Dick Redmond is, well, a dick

The AFL, Leinster (Junior) Football League and the AUL have been diminshing slowly over the last ten years. The AUL is basically a Finglas league for teams that cant get into civilised league.

There really is only two well run leagues worth keeping - the LSL and the Churches league.

O'Devaney/Dunard gone to the wall in the past week. AUL has run its course IMO. Sheriff are unbeatable and Kilbarrack are the only ones who can even come close to them. About time they scrapped Junior/Intermediate leagues and had one big national, regionalised non-league

We had 3 or 4 clear cut chances in the first half we didn't take JB !

Overall we lacked a bit of experience . Been a huge turnover this year going from one senior team to two . We only have 5 in the whole squad left from last year. On Friday we had 7 lads starting that were 19 or under . Will take time for us but we are definitely a team to watch for the future .
