I was out with Liam Quigley a couple of times years ago, a friend of mine knew him well. He was a sound fella, no airs and graces. His niece Isabel from Australia was over here for a few years back around 2007/08 and played in a load of pubs around town. I was talking to her one night and found out that I sat beside her cousin Brian for most secondary school, it's a small world.

The fact that people travelled from far and wide to pay tribute to Phil, says it all. Got the tee-shirt which was most important. Thinner Lizzy are playing Tramline on Friday 27th of January if anyone is interested.

No more Vibe's but it's been alleged that somebody in Birmingham are proposing to carry on a version of the Vibe... We'll see. "We will be strong "

Thin Lizzy have been voted Ireland’s greatest band of all time in a poll of more than 10,000 people.

To mark St. Patrick’s Day last Friday (17th March), Ireland’s Radio Nova held a ‘Shamrock Referendum’ asking their listeners who their favourite Irish musical artist is.

Alongside Thin Lizzy, the other finalists were U2, The Pogues, Van Morrison, The Undertones, The Boomtown Rats, Something Happens, Ash, The Coronas, Horslips, Snow Patrol, The Frames, Aslan, Hosier, The Cranberries and Sinead O’Connor.

Following a series of heats throughout the week, Thin Lizzy went head-to-head with U2 in the Grand Final with the winner broadcast at 5pm on St. Patrick’s Day.

Phil Lynott and co. ultimately triumphed securing 60.5% of the vote ahead of U2’s 39.5%.

Never in Doubt.........
