Will Keane also scored for Wigan today,as did Aidan Keena for Falkirk. And don't forget Luke Leahy of Bristol Rovers, who I believe is eligible for Ireland through his grandfather Mick Leahy, a Cork man who was a former British middleweight champion boxer who once beat Sugar Ray Robinson. There was also an own goal by Eoghan O'Connell today which cost Rochdale the game against Fleetwood but we'll not count that.

Aye. As was that chirpy cockney sparrow and Ireland captain Andy Townsend, whose granny was Beatrice Brown from Kerry. There's the good ones and there's Rice and Grealish.

Scully needs to get a call up IMO.
He is 21 and has scored 14 goals and 8 assists in league 1.

Will Keane scored again for Wigan today, he declared for Ireland when Mick was manager and I understand the paperwork has been ratified. He may not get capped now with the new regime but I believe he is officially an Irishman now, unlike his brother.

There seemed to be a good few Irish scorers across the divisions again today. Much better in recent weeks.
