Actually surprised this hasn't happened already.

I'd say it is more of precaution rather then the whole squad having tested positive as some media are running with.

Newcastle team doctor Paul Catterson was one of the first PL team doctor to introduce preventive measures in terms of no handshakes etc. so I'd imagine it is on his advice that this has happened again more in a preventive measure rather then the whole squad having tested positive.

Could easily get caught in a relegation battle if they don’t pick up a win or two soon.

100% though I don't think Newcastle will be relegated as the likes of Fulham, West Brom and Sheffield United unfortunately won't be playing Newcastle each week

Yeah there was no excusing that performance and selection too.

I mean yesterday was a free hit for Newcastle in theory, given that they were 8 points clear of Fulham they really should of went all out and tried to put another dagger through the heart of Sheffield United's season but showed nothing of the sort.

I actually think Fulham will be fine, Burnley can't score and I actually think they could well go but Newcastle are 100% in a relegation battle now.

Big win at the weekend, especially given we were down to 9 for last few minutes.

I would say the upturn of form has a lot to do with St Maxium coming back , i really do think he carries the team when playing .
Lansdowne Road debut aged 52 and 201 days .

I'd be very surprised if Toon got relegated. Even with Wilson out for the next few weeks I still think we'll only need  another 6-7 points to be safe as I can't see Fulham, West Brom or Sheffield Utd getting more than 30/31 points
