I think Hendrick is a better player (at the moment) then the Longstaff. I think he'll play more in the centre and perhaps in the Attacking mid position at times. I actually think Bruce sees Sean Longstaff more as a number 10 as he's played him there a few times. If we go we 4-5-1 or a 4-2-3-1 I can see our team being something like --------------------Dubravka------------ Manquillo----Lascelles------Fede-----Lewis--- -------Shelvey/Hendrick--Hayden/Hendrick---- ASM/Ritchie-----Almiron/S.Longstaff-----Fraser/Ritchie ------------------------Wilson------------ Edited by lassassinblanc - 09 Sep 2020 at 11:54am |

A front four of ASM-Almiron-Fraser-Wilson definitely has potential.

TBH I think he'll still come good, he's a young lad in a new country, new position etc.

Tbh I think even Bruce has recognised he's a lost cause, Wilson's took his #9 suggests it too. He was signed when Newcastle had no manager so he's probably not someone he asked for either!

Well Wilson has taken the number 13 from Muto (who looks to be on his way out) and Joelinton has kept the number 9

I think hes a decent player. Just needs a few goals to go in anyway and i think he could get 10 to 15 a season. He gets enough chances just hasn't put many away yet.

Highly disagree. He was brought in when there was no manager and fitted the old Ashley criteria of being under 24 therefore it's highly unlikely he was actually scouted properly to see if he'd suit the league. The signing may of also been in a blessing in disguise as it appears to woke Ashley to the fact his model simply doesn't work; since then he's signed a 31 y/o on a free, a 28 y/o on a free and paid £20 million for a 28 y/o and doubled their pre-planned budget over the summer despite the failed takeover. He's either been having banging sex the past 6 month and feeling euphoric or he's actually listening to the football men. George Caulkin is yer man who's in the know with NUFC things, even he's said Ashley and Bruce have struck an unlikely friendship therefore is actually listening to his input, NUFC's scouting team completely disregarded Wilson and Fraser but Mike opted for Bruce's opinion.

First opening day win since 2012.
Think it's going to be a good season, Wilson looks hungry for goals think he'll get double figures, Lewis looks a good fit too will get a few assists I'd say. |

It's a good win but at the same time West Ham will be toying around the bottom 3 all season long. The amount of disharmony within the squad with even the captain speaking out against the owners and with Mr. Demotivator in charge it's going to be a very long season for them.
You can only play what's infront of you however.

I think there will have to be a space made for Almeiron in the side. Took him a while to settle in last season but he got going and hes too good to have on the bench longterm.
