in terms of impact, the Beatles win hands down. Incomparable.

Why is there no option for Wings?  They're only the band The Beatles could've been.

two bands I love, Beatles far bigger and wider repertoire, plus bohs fans do a great “twist and shout “ away, but the stones have always had that whiff of sulphur lesser  bands couldn’t even imagine. Last hour before a stones live appearance back in the eighties was positively scary, angels and speed freaks wandering around stageside, genuinely weird individuals scattered about the place, and Keith’s opening chords to herald the arrival on stage? Scary sh*te especially if it was the menacing “gimme shelter”.
