But you hate Dubs and Dublin.

Intermission, best Irish film ever.

I went down is the best Irish film.

The Garage and Calvary would be up there too, as would The General.

Someone from Cork mocking the Dublin accent
Eamonn Dunphy:"I'll tell you who wrote it, Rod Liddle, he's the guy who ran away and left his wife for a young one".

Bill O'Herlihy: Ah ye can't be saying that now Eamonn

The Cork accent, of which there are many, are all wonderful. They either give manic hilarity or a cheerful lilt, but they never fail to lift the spirits.
Dubs, on the other hand, sound like they either want to get into a UKIP conference or converse with a cat.

The Garage was a particularly powerful movie.

Plenty of differing Dublin accents too.

I love being a Dub.
I love being hated by the rest of the country for no reason whatsoever and not giving as single fcuk about it. And mulchies actually think we care.

I'd love to build a wall around the Pale and keep the smelly kunts out.

I couldn't give a f**k if you care or not, as long as I never have to go back there, I'm happy.
I have only every heard three Dublin accents and it would appear the third has died out, that of the normal old Dub. It is now either 'Dort' or 'Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrtttttttttt'.

Was out with some lads last night who were late 20’s and never seen the snapper.
And then complaining it wasn’t on Netflix.

Are they even Orish?

Still one of the all time greats.

My favourite Irish film, not the best but my personal favourite.

Not withstanding the many memorable scenes and classic lines, for me its very nostalgic for that late 80's, early 90's vibe at the height of the Charlton years before the country crawled up its own arse. I'm know that i'm looking back through rose tinted glassses and being sentimental for my younger years but to quote Henry Hill from Goodfellas "It was a glorious time..............".
" BFC always gives me a laugh........ "

Picard:  The Cyborgs spaceship is blocking our path Mr O'Brien
O'Brien. ''Don't worry Captain. I'll handle this.
O'Brien:  ''Get outta the way ye dozy bollix!''
