We seen plenty of media attention when this was the case.

Your not telling it how it is.  Your just giving your opinion and making snidey comments which are utterly pathetic.

Flag them up there and give your counter argument sure. That's how football forums work.

Anyone can see the media bias against City. I don't recall this type of reporting ever before when a team takes a big lead in the league.
They haven't even dominated to the level of other sides in the 80s or 90s yet, imagine the crying then.

The media bias against city is sickening.city win 4 or 3 nil and play brilliant football and on match of the day the piece about the game is about the opposition and how they could do better with a small bit on city....the bbc are by far the worst.sky and bt commentators are clearly Utd or liverpool fans as no praise(or very little) is ever given.

Non Manchester based City fans must love it but I wonder what the old Maine road going supporters must really make of it all. Makes me think of what pub I'd prefer to drink in; The shiny gleaming new steel and glass place in a financial district or the weathered old traditional one in the city centre. That last part doesnt just apply to City by the way.

Good post.listen there is no so called “beauty” about the city project that appeals to people.....it’s not a la Masia type thing where young players have been nurtured and stepped in history and then gone on to concur.it’s also not a liverpool or Utd dynasty....maybe because liverpool and Utd did it first people don’t take to them, and for non city fans city’s progress feels emotionless and maybe it is all for the glory of Abu Dhabi but that’s the way modern football has changed, political aim rather than sporting??

Your last piece about the old Maine fans made think...and smile...I visited Maine road many many times...and if you asked me do I miss the old ground, the yo yo seasons, the f**k up gene that was in city’s dna for so long, the boardroom battles and so on...I’d probably say yeah I do miss it...and I’d very much doubt I’m the only city fan that does.but a large part of it could be about missing the old football of the mid 80s-early 2000s and not the corporate, money laden football factory of today.

They would hardly be playing with no specialist left back or striker in the squad if it were the case.

Mendy getting banged up was unexpected.

The media are legally constrained from reporting anything more than the barest details (name and charge basically) once a suspect has been charged, for fear of eg influencing a trial, perverting the course of justice,  committing contempt of court etc.

Mendy was first charged last August, which is why you've heard virtually nothing since, bar the new charges.

He was also not a specialist

One of the worst signings ever that £50m, very poor defender.

For games where they needed a LB, he would have been their go-to choice, no?.

No, Zinchenko made the position his own last few years with Cancelo playing there on occasion too
Cancelo now has the position

Don’t recall Mendy starting that many big games

Non Manchester based City fans must love it but I wonder what the old Maine road going supporters must really make of it all. Makes me think of what pub I'd prefer to drink in; The shiny gleaming new steel and glass place in a financial district or the weathered old traditional one in the city centre. Second Captains, enough said. Did you read the sh*te their regular contributor Ken Early wrote yesterday on the City Chelsea game? Not sure where you'd start with that gibberish.

They haven't really got a stockpile of top talent, contrary to this overly used theory. They've 5 less senior players in their squad than both Chelsea and Liverpool. Did you see Chelsea's bench on Saturday compared to Citys?
Why aren't Chelsea running away with things?
Man United have the highest wage bill and their squad cost the most to assemble in world football. Why are they 7th?

As i said yesterday, the difference maker is Pep Guardiola. Not sure why people are so afraid to praise him or admit this. Ever since he's been in England media/critics/fans of other clubs have made a claim, he's proven them wrong and then they've moved the goalposts with a but but but, he hasn't done this.
We're seeing it at the minute, the same people who wrote City off early last season and wrote articles on if they really are all that are now saying its boring how good they are, and they "leave you cold" Confused

I've no doubt that if he ever wins the CL at City the same will apply, goalposts move and no praise given.

The funny thing is City haven't even played that well in weeks.

Christ. I'll spell it out to you why nobody likes City

THE OWNERS ARE A BLOODY COUNTRY

And not a very nice one
It would damage this forums' reputation

I'd prefer if they just said that, instead of some of the sh*te you read about the actual football

leaving aside what's going on atm I liked his ability going forward. He was very good at overlapping and then following it up by whipping low crosses into Aguero... He had a wand of a left foot. His defending though was questionable to say the least.

Mad how Pep has got this City side as runaway leaders this season with Grealish, Sterling and Walker starting most weeks! Some coach.

LOL
Ever think you’re blinkered towards judging players of an English nationality?

Two of those players named were among the best performers of the last Euros.
