Fantastic league campaign. One of the best of my lifetime. Despite what ANYBODY says, dominating the EPL like that is a much, much harder task than anything Pep has done before. Incredible achievement.

You could make a claim that all leagues are average at the minute tbh
I think the EPL has improved this year, the results in Europe certainly suggest so anyway. What would your top 5 leagues in Europe be in order?

So basically the consensus on here is: If one team runs away with the title: It's a sh*te league. If there's several teams challenging for the title: The quality is sh*te ergo..... It's a sh*te league. If one of the high profile games in the EPL ends scoreless - It's a sh*te league. The EPL is so sh*te and unwatchable that it's watched and commented on all the time, all day, most days of the year on here. |

Pretty much correct Muff
And also if the third best team in the EPL has one foot in the CL final, it’s still a sh*te league As I said, based on people’s logics on here you could say every league is sh*te What makes a league good?

For f**k sake... the EPL is the most watched and most thrilling football division in the world. The most watched league competition of the most watched sport on the planet.
f**kin' idiots can't get enough of the EPL, but only watch it to sl*g it off...a bit like ABUs, obsessed enough to hate. What's a better football division than the EPL? La Liga? FACT: The Championship gets more attendances than La Liga. Plus, I heard from a good source about a month ago that SKY have little or no interest in continuing their global coverage of La Liga because viewing figures are minute. Last 4 winners of the CL = La Liga Clubs (6 out of last 9 CL winners also) 3 out of the last 4 Europa League winners = La Liga clubs (8 out of last 14 EL winners also)

La Liga is the best league and has been for the past few years. Their results in Europe proves that.
After that, if you are saying the EPL is average then every other league in Europe must be too. |

What is the criteria for comparing leagues?
La Liga obviously has the strongest top 2 than any other league. However I would argue the EPL 3-6 would be stronger than La Liga. If you played EPL v La Liga Teams 1 to 20 over 2 legs (Man City v Barca, Man u v Real etc) who would win more? I don’t follow La Liga so have no idea of the strength of the middle/bottom teams. |

La Liga Barcelona Real M Atletico Madrid Valencia Sevilla That's a pretty strong top 5 over the past decade or so. Villareal, Ath Bilbao, Celta V and R Sociedad have all had their moments too. |

If you look at the results in the group stages over the two games Spurs beat Real and Chelsea beat Atletico but Sevilla then beat United.
