The German stewards

Our lot and many other countries could learn from them, very patient, very mannerly and they actually succeeded in clearing the walkways of fans and got them to move into the seating area.

I watched the Irish fans interact with a few of the stewards on the way out after the game it was all thanks very much, cheers now, good luck and taps on the shoulders.

In Germany the fan is king, most other places they are customers, in a lot of others just cashcows and in a few just scum.

They are German, they know what they are doing.

Ever since the 2006 WC they have been top notch with looking after the fans. Even getting in was a quick affair compared to the usual stalling we get at away games.

Great stewards we were locked wandering around "lost" walked in at the half way line where the wheelchair people sit stood right there yards from the pitch and they didnt care at all stayed for about 15 minutes!!even took pictures for us.

I know that before 2006 WC all staff in stadiums/transport/police got extensive public relation training so obviously paying off, As many said German efficiency

Have definitely seen this a flag a few times

El_nino wrote: That Chelsea flag is a regular at Ireland games and at Chelsea games and has been for some time.  Know lads who know the owner and he is a member of the London supporters club.  The Owner has been getting dogs abuse (by both Ireland & Chelsea fans) for years over it. Them Derry lads were out of order although the owner of the said flag responded with a couple of things that shouldn't have been said.  Two wrongs don't make a right and all that.
