Wexford the latest club to head down the line of fan ownership. Do they have enough fans to make this viable?

Best of luck to them. Been a tough year with the uncertainty etc

Waterford are on the brink of promotion after a comfortable 3 0 win away to Wexford last night. It was like a home game for Waterford as we had about 75% of the fans there and the celebrations started long before the final whistle. Mark O Sullivan got 2 first half goals and John Martin got a late goal.Cobh have to beat Cabinteely tonight and even if they do a point will be enough next week when we play Longford at home as our goal difference is much better.

What was the attendance out of interest?

Sean Price, a Cabinteely U19 player, advanced to the next stage of the X Factor. That'll be one hell of a trivia question in the future

Format announced.

Team who wins the division gets promoted, the 2nd/3rd/4th placed clubs will go into the promotion/relegation play-offs at the end of the season. The team which finishes fourth will play the team which finishes third and the winner of that tie will face the team which finishes second. The winner of that tie will then play the team which finishes ninth in the Premier Division in the final promotion/relegation play-off, with all play-offs played over two legs.

Personally think it's a good move from the FAI. More teams have much more to play for now giving it a lot more competitiveness

I like it, only change I would make would be to change the two FD play-off games to one legged ties at the higher placed teams ground.

Its a shame we don't have a proper pyramid system in Irish football that would allow relegation/promotion from/to the first division to the provincial senior leagues.
time is the stuff that life is made of, don't waste it.

In theory that's a good idea, but the MSL, LSL, and USL are really just glorified Cork, Dublin, and Donegal leagues, respectively

The USL is a mess too only 7 teams in it and 2 of them are Derry and harps reserves. And it wouldn't be the a surprise if it finishes with less than 7 teams as it's happened in the past of teams pulling out of the league
