Only 2 making the quarters isn't so good, especially when the Spurs tie could have gone either way. United were the big let down from an EPL perspective.

La Liga still the best league in the world.

Would this be the worst of the big leagues for the way they treat local fans? You wouldn't see a tourist in an Italian Curva taking a selfie like or eating dinner watching the game.

Big decline in atmosphere over the last few years.

Give it 2 years and maybe only 1/2 of these are still in the top 10.

Neymar and, to a lesser extent, Pogba's transfers were game changers for football and have more or less inflated the transfer price of any half decent player. English clubs, all more or less being among the 30 richest in the world these days, are all paying inflated prices, and that goes up another bit if the club is one of the big 6.

In turn, those 6 are inflating the price of their own players they sell on, look at the amount of squad lads Chelsea have got rid of over the last few years, they turned a profit on nearly every one of them, the likes of Costa, Ake, Luiz,  (the first time they sold him) Begovic, its a long list there. Man U have just sold Blind for 4 million more than they bought him for 4 years later, despite him losing his first team place in that time, Liverpool's 3rd choice keeper was sold for 12 million despite playing 2 games for them, and they are talking 16-20 million for Ings, who was bought for 6.5 million and been injured more or less since he got there. Mignolet is another one they will turn a profit on, despite now being proven as a less than top class keeper.

Only a few years ago, a player no longer being first choice & surplus to requirements would mean a drop in his market value, but that's no longer the case. The market no longer makes any particular sense in general, its just a matter of the selling club naming a price and seeing who might pay it, and with nearly every club being rich to some extent, odds are someone will pay it.

Champions League quarter-finals: Are English teams the new dominant force in Europe?

Its the first time in ten seasons that four teams from one country will compete in the last eight of the Champions League got to be a good reflection on the EPL.

I'd love to see Man city win it.

What the EPL have done in the last few years is attract the best managers in the world.
That’s made a huge difference.
And of course the TV money!
