Not really.
Every Celtic fan I know does not dispute the red given to Simunovic.

The red given to Kipre was extremely harsh, it just reflects on the standard of refereeing in Scotland, which is atrocious.

He hasn't really been given a chance though, Rodgers seems to do that a fair bit with new recruits.

Makes them wait patiently before giving them a chance.

No doubt once the SPL title is wrapped up, we will see more of Musonda.

Agreed GD and maybe he's not impressing at training.  Delighted Roberts got a run on Sunday.

The Football Association of Ireland can confirm that a Republic of Ireland XI will travel to Glasgow to take on Celtic in Scott Brown's testimonial match on Sunday, May 20.

The game in Celtic Park will kick off at 14:00 and ignites a busy summer period for Martin O'Neill's squad with the clash with France in Paris on Monday, May 28 and the visit of United States to Aviva Stadium on Saturday, June 2 to follow.

The Away Ticketing Scheme will be in operation for this game with the most loyal supporters given priority in the allocation process.

Ticket information will be announced in due course.

To be fair, a testimonial probably shouldn't be included in the 'friendly thread'. It isn't that important! You have fellas on there debating whether Brown will be fit enough to play the day after a potential cup final!LOL
It's a win-win situation. The money and the inclusion of Miller's family make Ireland the right choice, the Irish squad will already be together and will be an extra training session, not to mention rekindling an interest in the FAI in Glasgow and is an extra incentive for the Celtic players to complete the treble. Two games away from a treble and a proper way to celebrate in front of a full house of hungover fans.

Would I be right in saying the interest would be more Celtic fans than ROI fans

I'd expect a few living in the UK to probably head to it. There are a lot of away games to consider too.

Plus, as Ireland fans, we were there only a while back, so I'd expect numbers to be quite low.

There won't be 1000s of Irish fans at it.  It'll be pretty much a full house anyhow given Celtic fans' adoration of Brown.

I've not the slightest interest in going but I'm sure it'll be a brilliant occasion and it's great he's donating a portion of the cash to Liam Miller's family, typically classy of Brown.
