Rivaldo Coetzee (Young South African centre half) expected to sign before the end of the week
 
Also supposed to be in a battle with Leeds to sign striker Chuba Akpom from Arsenal

Interest dropped in the first after he picked up a hamstring injury, the latter looks like paper talk but who knows? He has done nothing in his loan spells to get excited about.
Brendan has mentioned he wants a striker and centre-half in though.

Or not! The Ajax Cape Town official website is saying he has joined.


Fiorentina and FC Copenhagen both interested in signing Erik Sviatchenko, so likely to be one in and one out.
I think Sviatchenko has had his nose out of joint since being dropped and Rodgers' system makes him seem even more error prone. It is probably time for him to move on.
I would still like another centre-half, as I assume this South African lad will be a bit inexperienced yet. I could be way off here though, he does have 20 odd international caps.

Boyata & Sviatchenko injured, Jozo is not being risked on this plastic pitch (just like Killie on Saturday)

Bitton has slotted in at cb and been 'OK'
Yes Ajer is young but been more impressive at CB and used to playing on these pitches in Norway

Lustig aside , there are no other CBs unfortunately
Gamboa can fill in at wide right mid too if needed

Brown will be just in front of the back 2 helping out also
