Lucky to be two up at HT I reckon having not played particularly well, but when you've Rogic and Sinclair ready to show just one bit of magic, you don't have to play particularly well I suppose.

SEcond half we were brilliant, never took the foot off the gas and Astana just folded.

Great result. Clap

There was definitely elements of luck for Celtic in the game but overall they played some very nice stuff. In fairness, when Astana were on the ropes Celtic didn't sit back and protect their lead, they went for the knockout which they got.

Despite all this talk of luck, we still could have been 2-0 up early on, Sinclair snatched at a half chance, and Griffiths missed a sitter from a great Forrest delivery. There was a 10 minute spell in the first half were Astana were controlling things but that was about it, and they only really threatened to score once from the corner shortly after the opening goal.

We've conceded once in all competitions this season so far

Based on that performance, I'm amazed that Manchester City let Ntcham go. Some of his control and passing was unbelievable.
Get Roberts and a centre-half in now please!

Why do only Scottish teams use the term "internationalist" ?

Always wondered that

2 year deal for Armstrong

It's a start

Although it's clear he doesn't see his long term career in Glasgow - will be sold next summer*

*Must assume there is a minimum fee release clause

We will be in the same situation next summer. Best selling him in January for a few quid.

Pointless selling him in the middle of a season, doubt there will be much difference in the transfer valuation from January to next summer.

Scottish media as well. I have no idea why this is, it sounds like they are discussing their political philosophy.

We would get more money in Jan. He clearly doesn't see his future at Celtic. This contract agreement seems similar to Stan Petrov's last contract for Celtic.

Ciftci joins Plymouth on a season long loan

Does this free up number 7 for Patrick?

Rogic was immense today in a 2nil win (8 Scots in the team - 5 of them academy graduates)

Anyone heading to the game on Tuesday?
