Just wanted to post this here as we want to appeal to all footy fans ...
Independent Supporters Trust of Athlone Town (iSTAT) are hosting a Athlone Town Legends fundraising match on Saturday 31st January 2009 in Athlone Town Stadium. Kick off 7pm. We're calling it "The Boys Are Back In Town" and we will have Town heros from the 1970's, 80's, 90's and 00's taking part. Tickets are priced €10 and for more information about payment/delivery please email: info [at] istatonline [dot] com For anyone in the Athlone area, tickets are available from the Athlone Town Shop (Maradyke St), Bar Metro, The Palace Bar and The Olive Bar. We also hope to have Virtual Tickets available for purchase online soon for anyone who cannot attend but still wishing to support the match. Some players taking part include ... Yeah hope it works out. Athlone is a proper football club, unlike those franchise teams. The advertisement is on the Shelbourne website as well
