Sadlier taking no prisoners tonight. Poor Ronnie looked totally out of his depth. Joanne Cantwell was very good asking the questions.

Delaneys whole justification (to himself) on keeping his job is that he has increased the revenue of the FAI. Yet over the last week we have learned that the FAI needed loans from FIFA & UEFA and that they couldn't even sell out Ireland v England.

So what exactly is John Delaney good at?

It does Rankle with me when someone on a huge salary justifies his existence by claiming praise for the very job he is employed to do. Its as if He single handedly did all the work himself.

For a man to be in his position to have to defend his employment shows the very reason he has to go

What is he good at? Limelight and Self Praise

NR would I be right in saying you enjoy an argument just for the sake of it?

That is what this thread would suggest

Should be interesting. Dunphy doesn't like his viewpoint being challenged
Eamonn Dunphy:"I'll tell you who wrote it, Rod Liddle, he's the guy who ran away and left his wife for a young one".

Bill O'Herlihy: Ah ye can't be saying that now Eamonn

? Are people not allowed a different opinion ? I am still waiting for those lambasting the cute hoorism would be offering a replay if Robbie had done it

I believe that Delaney was right to take the money as the vast majority of FA s would of done given the circumstances

Why the money was needed, what happened the money is a different argument

WHAT 10  Million from UEFA?

Seriously.

Link please to Sadlier?

Also, on Dunphy :

He said Pirlo had never won a champions league - Until Brady told him that he had....basic research. Add to that the most basic research would reveal the ongoing issues in the FAI and ED might reconsider his staunch support of JD.

Dunphy has, dsappointingly, taken a pro-JD stance regardless of the facts. For a man who once wrote so often of his dislike of "the Blazers" in the FAI (not Chuck Blazer type blazers, the jackety kind of Blazers...although....!!) it's disappointing to see him support the current cadre. But hey, Dunphy has changed direction in his career more times than Messi did with the ball at his feet against Athletico recently.

TBH it was laughable listening to ED's platitudes about "the good of the game, and the way Barca/Juve/Messi/buffon/Pirlo had risen above the last week with FIFA etc" whilst barely 2 hours earlier he was openly supporting JD.

Dunphy will just shout Sadlier down.

Or maybe he was just doing it for the ratings....!!

NR. It has already been said we should have not got a replay or the moment.

So it's not and either or. You have posed false dichotomy.

It's not quite a Grand Jury but it would be a different story for JD to lie in front of a Dail committee as opposd to the media. They should also quiz him on how the UEFA bailout money was buried in the accounts.

If he is up in front of the Dail committee is it possible to find out who will be asking the questions on the day and email them beforehand?
I could agree with you but then we'd both be wrong.
