Some fascinating revelations from Andy Reid about playing under Roy Keane, who told his squad they were too nice so he was bringing in some players who were not nice. So he signed the likes of Pascal Chimbonda, Anton Ferdinand and El Hadji Diouf. Cue absolute chaos internally, with vicious fights forever breaking out during training and El Hadji Diouf once even pulling a knife on Ferdinand. Reid reckons Keane must have regretted his own recruitment policy as he left Sunderland shortly after.

Listened to the first 30 mins or so of the interview. Must listen to the remainder of it now

How any of his guests haven't murdered him is a tribute to their patience.

Not much of a choice in the matter when it's bumped several times on a daily basis but it's great for the unintentional comedy all the same. Thumbs Up

Comfortable 2 0 win at Oxford.

Two good goals from O'Nein and the Gooch.

Good result yesterday, vitally important that Sunderland start the campaign early and gather momentum.

I have a feeling that this season is do or die in the short term at least in regard to getting promotion, if we don't get promoted this year f**k knows when it will ever happen.

If the club are there or thereabouts come Christmas, the board should sanction a speeding spree (within reason and nothing that will hamper the clubs future) in order to secure promotion.

Getting off to a good start is huge hopefully confidence will have improved after yesterday.

The proposed takeover or not will also shape the season.

Still no sign of a McGeady exit?

I'm surprised he hasn't cut a deal to join/rejoin Hibs & Jack Ross but he would very likely have to take a 50% paycut to make that permanent

Cometh the hour cometh the man.

Grant Leadbitter what a Legend.

Sunderland ground out a result against a very good Peterborough side but a win was what was important.
