Big game tomorrow lunchtime although I'd probably take a draw now.

The small squad size is understandably beginning to show but hopefully another big performance away from home.

Hopefully the Amad/Roberts partnership will be restored tomorrow to deadly effect.
Absolutely DM, badly missed Paddy v Rotherham

I feel if Patrick ( Lord of the Dance) Roberts had been on earlier we would have got at least a point.
Agreed, that and if the ref didn't shaft us!

Exactly the Alse 'goal' should have stood.

I've been meaning to catch up with it on iPlayer - your reminder is timely. He seems quite the character (and a very fine footballer).

I've just got round to watching Jobby on that Trophy Shop programme.

An enjoyable watch Jonny certainly had some career.

I thought Sunderland deserved at least a point today but too  many missed chances yet again.

Still every chance of the play offs if we want it?

That was totally embarrassing.

Just as well we've got the points in the bag to stay up!

Harry Gardiner scored a hat trick for SAFC U21's against Stoke last night.

His movement is excellent and likes to put defenders under pressure.

Surely he is worth at least a place on the bench on Sunday at Norwich.

Ballard and Hume both called up for the Nordies squad.

Both well deserved too.

Disappointing result last weekend. Really missing Stewart for both his goals and the shape he allows the team to play

Football is a funny old game isn't it? We'd have gladly taken the position we're in now at the start of the season and yet there's a sense of disappointment that we could be higher in the table only for injuries and not recruiting an experienced striker, it's all ifs and buts though and I thought it was a great team performance by Sunderland today, our work rate was phenomenal and the defence was very solid, Batth and o nien were quality, Could the Playoffs be back on?

Football fans never fail to amaze me I'd have been happy to finish mid table this season like most fans if they are being honest but you can't pick and choose promotion yet the negatively flying about is nonsense.

I felt the team showed great resolve today after the Stoke debacle.

I don't think we'll make the play offs but this is a crazy league so I wouldn't rule it out totally.

Great win and well deserved. Batth and O'Nien immense. Thought Gelhardt did a mountain of work up top too.

3 points on Wednesday against a wobbling Sheffield United and the playoffs could be back in touch.

Danny Batth has had an excellent season.

On another night we may have got a draw out of that game this evening.

However at times we lacked the physical presence and experience against the Blades who knew exactly how to play it.

The injury situation doesn't help the season could have panned out very different with a fully fit Ross Stewart.

Our home form is poor particularly when you compare it to our away form I suppose our game suits playing on the break.

I was at the match so have only seen it once but was the Blades second goal not offside?

I'd be surprised if we make the plays offs now.

To be brutally honest I'm not too disappointed about it I viewed this season as a season of consolidation and I'd much rather be in our position then where the other two promoted sides Rotherham & Wigan find themselves currently.

Perhaps we could have done a lot better with a fit Ross Stewart Alex Pritchard Alese etc in the team but then again all teams get injuries.

I thought Sunderland deserved the draw today after we gifted Luton their goal.

Great craic with the Luton Irish fans from Longford Limerick and Dublin post match
