I only saw the first half hour of the game but Charlie Wyke had a sitter that would have made it 2-0 and I couldn't have seen Sunderland not winning it if that had gone in. What's another year, as somebody once sang.

I go and watch United home and away and remember Sunderland fans celebrating when we lost the league, but football fans will be football fans so it has never bothered me.
Gutted for them yesterday, wanted them to go up. I have always liked Sunderland, think it comes from the 1992 FA cup final and wanting them to beat Liverpool as a kid, and also wanting them to always beat Newcastle as the underdog. I think the club is just cursed.

I was there that afternoon not all Sunderland fans were celebrating that day. I've always had respect for the Red Devils I remember fondly when you beat Newcastle to the EPL title when Fergie wound up Keegan.

Exactly after all the horrors that Oystons put them through they deserved to go up. Delighted for former Sunderland Academy player Ethan Robson too.
