I watched 90 minutes of it at Old Trafford today. I was getting flashbacks of Tony O'Donoghue interviewing MON post match it was all so eerily similar.
"I called him an embarrassment to FIFA and to himself," .... He said 'No-one speaks to me like that'.... and I said, "well I do' and that was that."

Speaking of MON I saw a tv programme about Clough who would cancel training at short notice and make the lads run through a field of nettles.  Another time they went picking mushrooms.LOL

I wonder did MON ever try that trick to keep the players on their toes.

Yep! 1-0.

That’s another thing you never see, Blackburn in European competition anymore.

But it was always a car crash.

Because Kenny Dalglish hadn't a clue how to manage in Europe. English football back then was a backwater playing MON hoofball.

Ray Harford took them for the 1995/6 Champions League and were destroyed. Except for a 9 minute Mike Newell hatrick in a win over Rosenborg

Guinness might do an advert about them if the Japanese Womens Rugby Team ad is anything to go by

Was Vincent Kompany not player manager at Anderlecht for a short spell this season?

He was.

I think Eddie Howe was played manager at Bournemouth when they were in the lower leagues too iirc
