I think you will see all the big players in league playing for Pats or Bohs next season, the likes of stuart byrne and Joe Gamble etc

Played Well, Unlucky not to score, That Keith Fahey impressed, would be good to see him being drafted in for the B game next week!!  Kind of reminded me of a mixture of he who dares not be mentioned and Andy Reid.

Tremendous effort by Pats, Fahey is some player.  Luck of the Irish me hole, Pats had zero luck.   Fair play to Pats, played ball on the deck, impressive and a great ad for the EL.Clap

A few points from the game. Im sure il be shot down in flames by the LOI boys on here but here ye go.

1) The defence: Panic attack whenever the ball gets near them. Kicking it wherever when a calm head and a simple pass will retain possession.

2) The Strikers: Serious lack of quality

3) The Fitness: I know they ran their bolloxs off, but with 15-20 minutes left the majority of the pats team were gone. Now i dont know how LOI clubs do their training but if they want to take on the european teams they have to be able to run their bollox off for 95 minutes to make up for lack of quality elsewhere.

Finally the plus points:

1) Fahey: Quality player and one player i dont expect to be seeing playing in LOI next year.Thats probably not a plus for the LOI but he looks like he has the ability to move onto bigger things. I actually enjoy watching him and as you know i dont like LOI football.

2) Great Run: It was a terrific run by Pats this year. Hopefully it will give the clubs and all other clubs the belief that they can challenge these so called "heavy weights" of Europe. And hopefully it will encourage more youngsters to play and attend football. It will encourage me.

Finally it was a great performance by Pats.No doubt about that.On another evening they would have won that game with the chances that they had. Clap

agree with most of that erimus, Quigley is a good striker but not somebody who could get you into the later rounds of european tournaments. Thats why i said they should scour africa and brazil for talent. Most teams in european football have a token brazilian up front and it works. In terms of fitness i think there is still a lacks-a-daisy attitude to dieting in this country. These players are paid well enough to eat healthily.

Stupid points, I know but here gos.

Well done, Pats, super performance

Keith Fahey is a good player but he was alread in England with Villa and Arsenal and it didn't work out.

Pats did better then Celtic

They did the League proud as did their fans.

Hertha Berlin haven't a snowballs chance in hell of winning anything this season.
There are friendlier places to drink.

In fairness Fahey was a kid when it didn't work out. Totally different person now.
