If Rangers disappear, the Sky/ ESPN tv money will also disappear. Its TV deal includes a clause stipulating the participation of both Celtic and Rangers in the SPL.At least four of those clubs are believed to be owed money by Rangers - Hearts for the £1.5m summer purchase of Scotland full-back Lee Wallace and Dundee United, Dunfermline Athletic and Inverness Caledonian Thistle for ticket sale proceeds.

Hearts were very close to going into Administration in the last while, the loss of tv money will almost certainly send them on their way. Kilmarnock are a club also in serious with debts said to be over £8 million, if the tv money was taken from them then Administration or worse would face Kilmarnock. The Breakdown of the Setanta TV deal in 2009 nearly set a few SPL clubs to the wall.
Aberdeen Debt is over £15 million and it is goes up every year and they are building a new stadium.

Dundee United have debts of between £ 4 - £5 million, infarness to Dundee United they had got rid of a lot of there high earners but last years net loss was £523,000.

Attendances are down in the SPL by upward of 18% this season, the loss of the TV money and also the loss of renenue from games against Rangers, the SPL will be on its knees.

The SPL should change their season from March-October IMO. They'd get a good Sky deal for the summer, reckon crowds would improve  and performances in Europe would definatly improve also.

SPL will continue alright but if Rangers went the money would go and other clubs would go to the wall. The standard of football and players in the league would drop further. As is in the current Scotland squad there is only 4 Scottish based players all from Celtic & Rangers where previous Scottish squads would have had far more home based players.

Agree,
but they should look the the Celtic League model in Rugby, it could benifit them in the long run.
