A couple of things I enjoy about the trips which have less Irish fans .

1 on the one road gets sung
2 we tend to all congregate in the same bar and you get to meet everyone.
3 there tends to be way more interaction with the locals, on the big trips you need to break away to do this.
4 the mad stories get around quicker lads dead for 4 minutes , crazy taxi drivers, delaneys new missus
5 normally get to meet the players
6 the singing is more uniform but also more varied.

Have to say that the rendition of the rock n roll kids in the first half was top class, could it be heard on TV?
The first time the Devil made me do it. The second time I did it on my own.

agreed. My favourite still remains the Faroes away (circa. 05/06). The nightclub that night was unreal. About 200 Irish fans and the squad getting on it with Duffer and Keano up on stage singing songs... I recall trying to hitch a lift home at around 3am (broad daylight out there) and a car load of birds (and two unnamed Irish players squeezed in the back) drove past me. Needless to say I wasn't asked to join the party. What would there wives think... tut tut

Also they are against the weaker teams in more places so we usually have a result to walk away with. Must say the last minute goal and the celebrations well into the morning made a good trip a great trip.

Georgia definitely up their with the best trips I've been on if not the best.

Macedonia, Georgia and Faroes were all brilliant trips, definitely my top 3 in no particular order. Also the day trip up to Andorra was brilliant too

Yeah my 2 favourite trips have been Georgia and Armenia. Macedonia was fantastic too
Only problem with the smaller trips is they are so far away and it's horrific getting 3 flights home. Went on Abbey charter for Macedonia which was brilliant.
Wasn't talking to anyone who did this trip with them (€1,300 Dead) the 747 lad was standing in front of us at the game

Yes always like the smaller trips and trips to the sun at this time of year work out so well .

Have to say Armenia still one of the best ever for so many reasons .

Georgia was easily the best trip ive been on yet.
Had heard all the Armenia, Macedonia, Kazakstan, etc. stories before so was dying for Georgia and it did not disappoint.
