Interview with Supple in the Irish Times over the weekend. Was negative in his assessment of the Irish set up.  Definitely not looking for another call up. Haven't been able to find the article online

I'm not disregarding what he's claiming, but would I be right in saying  that Supple has a bit of a history of being a moaner? He threw his toys out of the pram regarding the Ipswich setup too IIRC...

Or maybe he is just a bit of an honest maverick, says what he sees rather than go along with things for the sake of money?

Perhaps he is, or at least "honest" as he see's things. I read the article there, he does come across as a somewhat dour and finicky character, but he at least confirms what was already known about the management team in that they don't provide the players with much in depth direction in terms of tactics.

Any link?
It is quite possibly a little from each argument, that he is a bit finicky and a bit honest, but it makes him a little bit more interesting if nothing else.

Best keeper in the league the last year or two. Always came across as an honest fella and i respect his low bullsh*t tolerance for most of the carry on that goes with modern professional football.

He'd be a great person for the FAI to get on board in role that prepares young lads before they get on the magic plane

Sad news alright. As he said, would have thought he'd have been able to play on for a few more years yet.
