A partnership where Shane Long is the prolific one has to be a  worry.

Mick will be playing one up front in march, because in his second incarnation as manager he's negative as fook.

The Mandrake post above!

I'd love to see a Long and Didsy partnership with both playing regular Premier League football. They'd be a handful for any defence.

Easy day at the office for the goal keepers though.

He wouldn't set me free,
So he kept me soul for ransom.

The usual negativity on steroids. More potent than a sneeze in Wuhan.

Connolly and Idah have 3gls each in all competitions, Long and Didsy 2 goals combined.

Great. So let's play Ciaran Clark and Conor Hourihane up front.

More chance of scoring. Good shout.

Do we have an alternative partnership which would have you less worried? Long is not prolific, never was and never will be. But in his current form he's the best scoring option we have. Sounds more like you're the one being "as negative as fook".

I just want to see two up front so I'd be happy With McGoldrick/Long, or some other combination.

Having seen Slovakia's two qualifies against Wales and their home match against Crotia they look weak at the back, lacking a physical presence.

Skriniar is a fine defender, but other than they wouldn't be great at the back no. I'd fancy Long and McGoldrick to give them plenty of problems; but again, the questions are whether that would translate into a goal.
We're decent enough..
