Reading 2-2 Charlton Athletic

I went along to this last night. Shane Long scored both Reading goals. First was a penalty, second a bullet header. Really impressive performanc from Shane, he started the match and fizzed about brilliantly. Loads of energy. Spoke to him afterwards and he was in great form. Wished us all well.

Kevin Doyle had a quiet enough evening. He took a free-kick that needed a fabulous save from the Charlton keeper to tip away.

Stephen Hunt was subbed in the second half when Reading needed to change things around. Jay Tabb came on for him and looked lively.

Noel Hunt was brought on in the 85th minute and had no time really to do anything.

Great to see Shane hitting form and getting more and more confidence.
Waka waka hey hey, we're in Armenia!

Long was on the cover of the match programme, full interview inside where he said that he needs to start matches and score and not be seen as some sort of supersub. And then he goes and bangs in 2. Lovely fella to boot.
Noel is going well, he's a hugely popular fella at the club and has a great attitude. Himself and Stephen are a credit. Hope to see more Reading games before end of season.
One thing to note - Dave Kitson has come back to the club on loan and will definitely start on Saturday, probably alongside Kevin Doyle, so Long and N Hunt are likely to be subs.

Good job Tuff. Nice to read about the matches from an Irish perspective. Look forward to reading more (if there is a pun there then it is or not intended depending on whether you think it is funny or not)
There are friendlier places to drink.
