Lads as far as I'm aware that was his first PL red card. The red mist obviously came down.
I've never seen anything in matches to indicate he is a hot head so I would cut him slack. A stupid mistake but it happens the best of us. I've no doubt he will be training every day anyways and still putting it in. Chris will have a word and you beat yourself up over these stupid ones also.

A lot of footballers get stereotyped as stupid, often wrongly. In many cases it is more a lack of basic education than intelligence. However, this lad is, as was said above, gormless.

Great to see him doing so well. I remember leaving Lyon thinking that he would never be good enough for international level but has turned into one of our top players. Credit to him and also Hughton.
