I'd say he's not allowed be in the squad tonight seeing as they're playing Brighton.

Caught me off guard at first so checked to see if he was injured and was wondering why Potter was talking about him. The start Fulham have had to the season though he'll be waiting awhile to get his chance in the league for them.

Was played up front for the final 5 minutes against West Ham last week. Came on when it was 2-1 to West Ham. Finished 3-1. Surprised nobody mentioned it!

Looking like he's 4th choice CB there now, Diop replaces To sin at CB. Ream continues to start.

He'll have to go somewhere else in January.

Can see them cancelling his loan come January to make room for another possible Premier League loan. No point one of your loans being a 4th choice CB.

Even if Fulham were content with Duffy staying for his own sake he needs to leave in January. He needs to be playing games if he wants to get a decent contract next summer when he's a free agent.

And to have any chance of getting back in the Ireland XI.

Whatever about getting back into the Ireland team he's still got a few years of senior football left and Kenny might still prefer Omobamidele or O'Shea come March even if Duffy is playing.

This is probably the last chance he's got of getting a decent contract.

Only Nottingham Forest, Bournemouth and Leicester have conceded more goals than Fulham and the former two have played a game more.

How sh*te must he be in training?

Thought it was a signing doomed to not work when they signed another CB right after him.

It's mad how quickly football has evolved in the last few years. The likes of Duffy and Harry Maguire are heading towards extinction at the top level. Duffy is a superb dominant aggressive "head it kick it" centre back. But he is not comfortable on the ball and isnt mobile enough to play a high defensive line. He needs to play for a deep lying counter attacking team.

I don't see a demand for the old school managers (Pulis, Dyche, McCarthy) anymore either.

Duffy looked alright, more than alright during the first half of last season starting for Brighton when most thought he'd bomb after his season with Celtic.

Should be looking to get his loan cancelled and looking for another loan in January. Needs to be playing games with his contract soon expiring and to have any chance of getting back into the Ireland starting XI.

Hard to see where he'd go in January if he leaves Fulham. His wages could be an issue.

I'd imagine there will be a number of top half Championship clubs willing to take a gamble on him helping them into the PL/play offs, but it's hard to see another PL club taking an interest unless they have a l/term interest intaking him on post contract expiry. A long term injury to the likes of a Tarkowski at Everton is probably his best chance of resurrecting a PL career.

Will almost certainly be the Championship now for him. Brighton will likely pay a chunk of his wages to get him off the books so that shouldn't be an issue.

That's assuming that there is even a recall clause in his loan - if there isn't them Fulham will need to keep him as a backup for the rest of the season.

Looking at the top half of the championship Millwall and Reading stick out most. Luton have been flying it the last two seasons since Nathan Jones came back.

To have a club of that size doing so well in the league you just know it's a tight knit group with lads willing to run through a brick wall for the manager. Luton though probably have a small wage bill and Duffy's on 40k a week.
