Thought it would just be move at no extra charge ( we only needed to move 2 tickets down a few seats so we could get all 4 together that wasn’t possible last year due to unavailability of 4 together when we were buying).

Yeah that happened to me there when moving 2 seats up along the row a bit . I chose the 1€ renew option again , and paid the one euro; so I’ve now paid €2 in total this renewal window. Bit of annoying faff , and also as it asked me for new card details , and with the way it was worded I thought i was gonna have to pay the full whack!    But still due for the 50% on 24th November .

Also saw this reference to “5 events” next year as well - so they must have finally confirmed it’ll be 5 fixtures then?  Maybe a sixth could be added if opportunity comes up

There'll be nothing confirmed regarding the number of games for another while.
It's sold as 6 games, 5 of which are essentially guaranteed. If there's a 6th it'll be added in, if not there'll be a credit on the account this time next year

5 is the most realistic though

Ouch!!  I was using my wife’s bank card which I’d ‘borrowed’ , and was praying that wouldn’t happen to me - would have been a disaster to explain 😂

So I rang the ticket office there to clear up my own pedantic query about the renewal invoice price:

I purchased a category D Season Ticket for the first time last year (for the 2023 season) @ €150. My invoice for 2024 says €150 as well.  Ticket office said this is correct.  Only those who purchased in 2022 (or before..?) are on a different price plan (i.e. the €120 renewal price for Cat D) as “it was a different time”. I asked what price the new Cat D tickets would be, and they said it’ll be €150 too.

I then asked what renewal incentive there was for the new purchasers from last year , and they said it was just that the price of purchase from last year was frozen.  I assume this 2022/2023 renewal disparity applies across all categories .    I genuinely can’t really complain like, as only joined last year and it’s cheap as chips for me .   But have got some clarity at least !!

There is a pre sale of season tickets on until tomorrow. To buy a new family ticket is 460 and the renewal price was 460 so no incentive to renew for family tickets regardless of what year they were bought. I can't see them being mad busy with the pre sale. It will be interesting to see how many season tickets are sold in total for next year.

i think they are predicting a drop of sales i'm sure , the number of season tickets is around 28000  , I'd say they will be lucky to renew half that.  they are pushing the agenda prior to knowing who we play etc plus the increase on the family ticket will drive people away.

2023 was 23,000 season ticket holders.

17,000 of them were renewals from 2022

They'll drop off given we don't know who we're playing yet but no surprise if it's in or around the 17k mark again

Things you love to see. Now if we could just get a competent manager in, all will be right in the world

How do you cancel the season ticket after doing the €1 renew option? Went onto the FAI ticketmaster account there and there’s nowhere to cancel the payment coming out Friday.
They've only gone and done it
