A big vote of confidence in Hogan from Jones, with Benik Afobe being allowed to join Bristol City on loan for the season, meaning Hogan's pretty much guaranteed regular starts given Stoke's preference for playing two up front in a diamond formation.
Hopefully the regular action will see him recapture his Brentford form.

He really is a bang average striker. Had high hopes for Hogan after his goal scoring exploits for Brentford.

In fairness, I can't remember the last time he got 3 on the trot. Won't make a difference. He still probably would have been called up and still introduced with 20 mins to go. At least he might have some confidence next month.
