I’d interested in to see what transfer fee they offer on top of that. He won’t go (hopefully) but only signed a new contract a few weeks ago.

Any serious footballer is not going to Saudi Arabia at 21. Neves and Jota are two rarities going there in their prime. I can understand Ronaldo, Benzema, Kanté and other 32+ year olds going there. They've already won most of the big trophies and had had iconic careers. When PIF is able to regularly recruit players like Neves, that's when we'll know that the football landscape has changed forever. |

The Saudi's can run their league as they see fit. It's an open market, players are bought and sold that's the way it's always been.
A country shouldn't be allowed buy a club.

Because English clubs are selling unwanted players to Saudi clubs for inflated fees to fiddle FFP. FFP was a joke anyway so hopefully this will expedite some reforms.

Danny Drinkwater flying a kite about teaming up with Kante in Saudi Arabia, and how the team would have a 'PL winning formula'. Jesse Lingard is also putting out feelers about Saudi Arabia. Something genuinely sad about professionals touting themselves to join this venture, which has to be about the money. Especially lads like Drinkwater and Lingard who probably had a lot more to offer.

Lingard maybe but Drinkwater’s career has been on a major downward trajectory since he left Leicester. No surprise he’s chasing the money.

Very few clubs would want these players.
Whose going to pay 100k for Lingard? Drinkwater is just a washed up alco.
