West Ham moving for Eze and Manning with Hugill and cash going the other way is a realistic-sounding deal.

Doesn't Cresswell play at left back for West Ham. Hes a pretty decent player if memory serves me right. Hardly guaranteed a game if he moved would he be.

Cresswell has a terrible season according to some Hammers fans. I suppose Manning could compete in a few positions in midfield and at left back.

Would be good to see him take the step up to the Premier league. I think he has the ability to do well

He was a very decent player, and at one time he looked like he'd secure the left back slot on ability, and the potential of 50 England Caps. Instead, he got an injury in 2016, and never truly recovered the form he showed before hand, and now he holds the position as a serviceable player, who has long service to the club, and a priority being placed over other positions. Masuaku is also there too, but is more of a wing-back as opposed to an orthodox Left Back. Manning, if signed, would undoubtedly take up the left defensive slot.

Is Manning's defending not his weak point?

Bang on I think Manning playing for Moyes would be a bit strange as his attacking abilities are his main assets. Wolves would be tailor made for him or even Newcastle play a back 5 I reckon Manning would do wreck as a wing back in a decent team.

Manning could be found out in the PL, quickly. He reminds me of Greg Cunningham, he’s pretty good going forward and delivers a good ball. But he’s not a solid defender. He’d be up against Masuaku Cresswell and doesn’t Fredericks occasionally play LB as well? I’d prefer to see him at somewhere like Southampton, WHU simply can’t defend they don’t have one single reliable defender. He might get a chance to show his potential down on the south cost.

That sounds like the opposite of Greg Cunningham, who's very steady defensively but doesn't get forward much. I'm not convinced Manning is as diabolical defensively as some on here seem to suggest anyway. Oftentimes, there's something of a self-generated nature to these claims; one person claims player X has this huge weakness, a few other people repeat the claim based solely off person one's statement, and then before you know it it has become "accepted knowledge" that everyone just mindlessly repeats. It's hard to imagine he'd be being considered by a few different EPL teams if that side of his game was quite so bad....

West Ham would suit if he wants to stay in Londongrad. I understand he has learned the language and can speak fluent Cockney.

Think he is well able to pick up the language wherever he goes. Was no bother to him in London.
