He did play well for the 21s. Sevilla develop plenty young talent and Johansson was tied up on a very long term contract I think 2026 is when it runs out. Clearly he is seen as a long term project.
Also a quick glance Rakitic Oscar Rodriguez Fernando Joao Jordan they are well stacked in midfield but all those lads were playing yesterday so it’s not a case he was getting a runout due to players resting up. Sevilla had a full pick of 1st team midfielders. Sevilla like most Spanish teams are quite active in using loans so I wouldn’t be surprised if he was sent out on loan to a lower La Liga/Spanish 2nd division side or even a Ligue 1 team. Would be good for him regular gametime. I’m quite excited about him the signs are good. Main priority is he gets fit in pre season now and kicks on from there.

On the bench again this evening for Sevilla's friendly against Las Palmas, would expect to see him at some stage in 2nd half. Should be more of a test for him than the last game.

One of the great things about football is that you can't predict what's going to happen. Come September games a lot of our players will have a few weeks works of club football. I suspect we'll see a surprise in terms of inclusions in the squad. Nathan Collins, johannson, okoflex who knows night hit the ground running over the next few months.

Just seen it there.
Fair play to Johansson but the goalie was awful and it wasn't even hit that hard

Poor goalkeeping no question. RJ scuffed it a bit too but credit for the shift it and hit it approach. Hes definitely a tidy player on the ball that's for sure.seeing a lot of it too

Yeah, keeper with one to forget there but still a tidy turn to get space and get the shot away.
Fair play to the lad and how awesome would it be if he were to get regular gametime in La Liga this season. I think he'll be in our senior squad before this campaign is out. |

Thing with pre season it’s hard to tell.
The real encouraging thing for me is Oscar Rodriguez,Fernando,Jordan,Torres pretty much every 1st team midfielder that could be there for Sevilla is there in pre season and he is still getting plenty gametime. Not like Parrott at Spurs were you know plenty are missing. Sevilla use loans quite actively so that may happen. A decent loan to a La Liga club of any standard would be great or if he was to stay playing cup games/coming off the bench would be class.
