I see the celebration of the annexation has been given the sobriquet "Together Forever" by the Russians. May as well have called it "Never gonna give you up".....

To celebrate Russian expansion day the Ukrainians have surrounded Lyman and the Russians who didn't escape. It didn't take long for part of Neo Russia to be un-anexed.

Hopefully the Russians there surrender and don't choose to die for Putin. And hopefully they didn't managed to get their armoured vehicles and equipment out because more Ukrainian donations are always welcome.

This will be a blow and set's up Ukrainian assault's into Luhansk now. It will also greatly relieve the Donbas frontline.

Edit:

There's a video from a Russian soldier saying some of them fled from Lyman to Kremina which is equally as important and before they could even disembark at the town the Ukrainians started engaging them. There's also a separate video from Kremina where you can hear shooting near the town. Not looking good for the Russians.

They also mentioned artillery was moved from near Donetsk to help out. They must be running short. Meanwhile the top brass are all hi fiving in Moscow.

Russian troops and the Donbass militias have had to withdraw from their defensive positions in the city of Krasny Liman as Ukrainian forces mounted a large-scale offensive targeting the area, the Russian Defense Ministry confirmed in a statement on Saturday.

You must be devastated. Reports that many didn't escape and are still trapped. Footage of many dead Russian soldier's emerging and lots of destroyed captured equipment.

The US lend lease starts today but it seems Russian are trying very hard to remain Ukraine's top arms provider.

LOL

Nobody lost any sleep over the Nazis dying. The Russians could literally save every life on both sides if they just f**ked off.

So what should the Ukrainians do next? Keep the Russians occupied in Kherson while taking as much land in Luhansk and the rest of kharkiv?

The smartest option imo is whatever returns the most square miles before the freezing cold. And let's be honest the kharkiv/Luhansk line is where that'll happen. It would also greatly relieve the Donetsk front if they hold the ground to the north.

Nothing would surprise me though. I never expected Ukraine to do this well in the first place.

Ukraine wasting no time pushing on past Lyman. A few more settlements liberated from the Nazi's.

Russian sources reporting a significant breakthrough in Kherson along the Dnipro river. They've fallen back to their next line of defense a few settlements back. Nothing coming from the Ukrainians on this so take with a pinch of salt.

@Bot#B66HE
Russia helped defeat the original Nazis thanks to massive aid sent by the USA lend lease at the time. Allies help allies in war. If Russia weren't such colonial ****s they might have a few more themselves.

What we are seeing is the beginning of a collapse. The 7 day average rate for russian casualties is at an all time high since the war started in February (atm it's running at roughly 500 per day).

The question now is not can the Ukrainians win the war, it's whether the Ukrainians win the war in 2022 or 2023.

I like watching Democracy Now https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/democracynow for some news on the Ukraine war. As the Western Media is utterly biased I rarely bother watching it. I came across an interesting term 'polo' used by an independent war journalist it stands for. Policy of Leaving Out. Which sums it very accurately.

This was an interview not long before the invasion. It's worth watching for a different perspective of the build up, she is an American journalist living in Russia 30 years and an editor of the Nation in America www.thenation.com.

It would damage this forums' reputation

Dave Smith on Joe Rogan explained although not justified, Putin wasn't exactly unprovoked.

One thing he said, if Russian caused a coup in Canada and installed a Russian friendly government then the US wouldn't be exactly happy.

America didn't cause a coup though. Ukrainians wanted the EU for years and were sick of the Moscow puppet's in charge of their country. It also doesn't make it right if America would react the same which I doubt they would.

Back to reality. The Ukrainians continue to push out the Russians at an alarming rate in both Kherson and kharkiv. Can't wait to see where the dust settles.

Whether they did or they didn't cause or support the coup it doesn't matter if Russians believe they did.

I see it reported Putin is sending nukes to the front line. Not good.

Of course. America would never interfere in a foreign election.

And the Ukrainians treated the ethnic Russians in the East really well.

And America aren't interested in propping up their industrial military products.

Putin is a baddie

The West are goodies.

If you had a choice and language wasn't an obstacle and with the equivalent middle class standard of living to the locals, would you opt to live in russia or the usa?

The West isn't one country for starters.

America more often then not are the bad guys imo. In terms of Ukraine they are the good guys.

Ethnic Russians in Eastern Europe threated a hell of a lot better then their respective minorities have been in Russia. Why do you guys bend over backwards for Putin?

I'm just happy your Russian buddies are getting smashed. Kherson frontline collapsing as we speak.

If Ukraine taking back their country leads to nukes going off then that's on the modern day hitler not Ukraine.
