What a waste of a tournament (and sport in fact). They beat washed up american football players, beat pretty boy Italians who were too fat to play soccer and then lose to Australia yet they're into the quarter finals?? Ughhh

Yeah sure, we should beat the Yanks and the Ruskies as these are only minor players in the game. You wouldn't really expect any of the first/second seeds to lose to the likes of Honduras or Saudi Arabia at soccer WC's would you? It's not much different to many other sports, such as cricket WC, etc. There'll always be countries that specialise in some sports and others that are cannon fodder. Just because some of the qualifiers are large nations, doesn't hide the fact that rugby is only a minor sport within them. Anyway, with the form we're in as we've prepared for this, there's no guarantee we'll even beat Italy, who incidently, would have been viewed as cannon fodder, twenty four years ago when the Rugby WC first started. |

French are 16/1 to win outright. Well worth a few quid especially as the All Blacks will bottle it IMO
