Is it not just saying its a match on paper, ie its his own opinion he'd fit and nothing else?

I am a Leeds fan and am pretty familiar with how Phil Hay operates as he has been covering Leeds for over 15 years. He has a direct line into the club and basically no Leeds fan thinks a transfer is happening or we are interested in a player unless he specifically mentions them. When a transfer is confirmed people will still look for Hay to confirm it if he hasn't already. My read is he is def on a list of targets. He may not be number 1 target but he is in the running for sure.

This 100%. I'd have said paper talk but if Hay is mentioning it then he's on Victor Orta's list that will go to Bielsa. May be a way down it but he'll be on it.

Leeds were one of a number of clubs, Derby was another, who were interested in Curtis before he signed the new contract with Portsmouth, so Hay is probably on the ball.

What’s wrong with what he said?

I’ve seen quite a bit of him and would be very surprised if he ever played Premier League football.

I would have said the same about most of these Leeds players not 18 months ago LOL

Maybe Leeds see a different type of potential in him that a great coach will get out of him.

As much as it would be great to see him line out for Leeds in the EPL, I think a championship move to a playoff chasing team like Derby would be more beneficial to him. He would certainly get more game time.

Wings? They're only the band The Beatles could have been.

I’ve seen him play 10 or more times between Irish appearances and portsmouth games this year. He’s miles off being a premier league player imo. Positional sense , use of the ball etc is way off. Bit of a headless chicken but anyways that’s only my opinion

Brentford staying in the Championship. Wonder if they’ll still be in for Ronan.

Would make it more likely if anything I'd say. Much more likely to get game time in the Championship.

True, Benrahma and some of Brentford's better players are pretty sure to move now and they will be looking for new faces. Curtis improved a lot at Portsmouth since his Derry City days and would benefit greatly from a move to Brentford. He's some way off Premiership standard but he could do well in the Championship at a good club.

2 goals from him today people. Surprised it wasn't mentioned. Pity he couldn't keep his head the other night but still. We need anyone we can scoring goals on a regular basis at the minute.
