The SAS stayed there on a stag once and said they'd never go back.

What's the area around gare du nord like ? booked a hotel a few hundred metres from the station.

Rough.

JC stayed around here few times before. If you stay anywhere to the west of the station it is a kip.

Anywhere to the east is quite nice. Stayed in the Generator there back in Feb and was nice area, very near Metro and walking distance from station. Stayed nearer the station for the playoff in 09 and was a bit of a dive tbh.

booking.com and hotels.com have certain hotels with free cancellation.

also try some of the hotels directly like accor hotels.
