I thought it was expensive for Wetherspoons. Local pubs are cheaper.

Be interesting to know the dearest pubs in each area, and the best value, maybe sticking to city/town central areas

To be fair, there's "cheapest" and "best value". In Dublin The Snug and Long Hall are about 30m apart, bout €2 difference in the price of a pint, but I'd happily pay the extra for comfortable surroundings.

Same story with Temple Bar pints, there's plenty of places that aren't €7.50 a pint in the area. They charge €7.50 a pint to cover themselves from the Yanks that are gonna sit there nursing a pint for 2 hours while listening to their free live music

Smyths is a lovely pub. Big fan of it.

Also like the Oarsman for pre match pints.

Always remember when Mullo ran the buses from Galway that was the drop off spot , always had time for two quick ones before the bus headed back to Galway at 10.30pm . Come to think of it if that was the case now I would be wanting a slash by the time we have got to Lucan  Confused

Stopped going in there earlier in the year, few pints in the mutton lane and the oyster tavern and then on to crane lane for the late ones.
