I think the last televised game I watched as a neutral was 2018 World Cup. They completely destroyed televised football. Too many pundits taking it too seriously and everything being too slick. Throw in the fact that it is about commodities, rather than communities, and you may as well watch WWE. At least the fellas there are being paid to spout hyperbolic bollocks, rather than paid to believe it.

Kalamity Keogh. Richard Keogh - Gave the ball away in his own half and got away with it, only to do the same thing in an even deeper position two minutes later to let Stoke in as they on their penalty. 4 |

Bad day at the office for Keogh. Still might get the last laugh on Derby, though, with the way things are transpiring. Richard Keogh – Very lucky his lapse didn’t let Blackburn double their lead midway through the first half – only for him to fail to cover Pipa and let Blackburn in to score moments later. 2 Edited by Hotlips_Hoolahan - 24 Apr 2021 at 10:02pm |

I've always said he should have known better and Derby were probably right to sack him but not doing the same with Lawrence and Bennett was their downfall and blatant discrimination based on the player value and age range.

Hopefully he does the decent thing and gives a fair amount of it to drink driving related charities and nonprofits. I doubt it though, going by himself and his wife's self-absorbed sob stories to the press.

Nice few quid for him. Hope they manage to pay it now.
Whatever you think about what he did, Derby were just trying to get him off the wage bill as his wages were high - showed their true colours asking him to take a pay cut

So getting in a car with someone who he thought was sober means he deserved to be sacked even though the court ruled he didn’t and got a pay out as a result. Derby have behaved terribly and deserve everything they get from this. Keogh was an innocent party here who was left to die on the side of the road by guys Derby who deemed it ok to keep on.

A good read. Interesting that it’s not mentioned if he ever received the ££. In the the list of creditors is he ahead or behind the current players wages I wonder.
Morris looks very bad in the whole affair - whether that’s down to plain old business bullying or bad decisions while under stress of the financial mess he was dealing with. You’d have to think his solicitors would have been advising he didn’t have a good case. Also where the other 2 unnamed players (assets) in the car ever cautioned / prosecuted … for leaving the scene.

Playing well for Blackpool it seems. We're lucky we have plenty of Centre Backs but worth bringing him back in to squad as back up?

It would be completely counterintuitive. He was a decent servant when he played for us but Duffy, Egan, O'Shea, Dunne, Manning and Lenihan are all outperforming him/playing at a higher level while Omobamidele and Collins have shown enough to keep around the squad to continue learning. TBH even at his peak I thought it was strange how Keogh was keeping Delaney out of squads. Always looked like he had an error in him.

Playing out his skin! But no, 35 turning 36 later this year his time has passed. Lenihan, Dunne and McGuinness would all be ahead of him outside of the lads already in the squad. Id say Derby are sick how he turned his career around and cost them a few million in compensation in the process.

Totally under-rated player for us who had some outstanding performances & great days in green. Delighted that Mick brought him over at a time when he was at low point. And delighted he’s back playing well again. Derby would love to have him in their side these days. No need for a recall to Irish team unless some calamitous injuries but wish him the best.

Agree with the under rated comment. Himself and O'Shea immense against Germany in the 1-0 win. |

Do you reckon he's got paid that money yet? Derby are in administration.
